Wednesday was National Human Trafficking Prevention and Awareness Day. The fact that a day was created to illustrate that modern-day slavery is occurring worldwide is admirable, but as we know far too well here at the Touch A Life Foundation, every day should be declared National Human Trafficking Prevention and Awareness Day. Modern-day slavery occurs every single day in every country in the world, including the United States. It’s up to you educate yourself about the issue and take a stand against trafficking.
Specifically, my heart goes out to the children who are sold into slavery on Lake Volta in Ghana, West Africa. Watch this video about the work the Touch A Life Foundation is doing to combat modern-day slavery, and share it with your families, friends, and colleagues. By spreading the word, you can make a difference and help bring an end to human trafficking once and for all.
